HOW TO PROTECT WOODEN HOUSES

During construction of the surface, logs should be impregnated and protected as soon as possible, for the following reasons:

– The sun destroys  surface layer of wood, causing the gray and increase fiber. Dirt can easily crawl in such damaged surface.

– Wood swells under the influence of damp, and when it dries again, it significantly tightens. Change of moisture leads to cracking.

– Moisture causes  microbiological growth. Blue wood rot is usually bluish and stains can seep deep into the wood. Mildew fungi appear as dark spots and develop only on the surface of wood. Blue mold rot and fungus does not reduce the strength of wood. However, red yeast induce deterioration of the wood and eventually makes it unusable.

– In some geographical areas wood can be invaded by insects, worms and termites.

Finishes penetrate the wood and protect it, reduce the harmful effects of sunlight, moisture, mold and provide better aesthetic look of the wood that fits better into the environment.
